On October 29th the Saints said goodbye to club legend Sam Clark at the Bernard Shaw and later, Whelans.
Sam joined the club in the early days as a back/centre and put in some great performances, both on, and off the pitch.
He has already moved to Munich, home of the famous Oktoberfest and will be hooking up with the Munich Kangaroos, continuing his favourite past times of footy and beer.
Good luck with your new life Sammy, you will be missed!

The newly formed North Leinster Kangaroos have won their first two competitive matches at the recent ARFLI Lightning Carnival at Islandbridge, Dublin!
The team opened their campaign against last years ARFLI Premiers, the South Dublin Swans, and a great performance won the clash 4.1(25) to 2.5(17)!
With the team spirit high, the next opponents were the consistently strong Belfast Redbacks. The Roos continued their momentum from earlier in the day and took the game in a tight battle, 6.5(41) to 5.8(38)!
This is truly a great victory for the newly formed Leinster team, and shows great promise for the rest of the season!

It was announced this week that the West Dublin Saints will merge with the Midland Tigers.
After careful consideration by both teams Executive, an agreement was made to merge for
the remainder of the 2011 ARFLI season. The merger has been sanctioned
by the other ARFLI Clubs.
The West Dublin Saints will now be known as the North Leinster Kangaroos to take in the vastness of our catchment area (Fingal/North County Dublin/Meath and Westmeath areas).
One
of the reasons for the merger was to give better experience to the players from both Clubs that are on the National team, by giving them more
meaningful game time.
This merger will not only give us decent numbers
but a strong bench, something which the Saints have struggled with this year due
to injuries.
Team founder, Tony Watene said "I
always look for the positives in everything and this is a hugely
positive move for all concerned".
